I know this is not full body reference, but I'm thinking to make a better one separately (since you can't see how the leather works under the cape works). Also I'm too tired to do any kind of proof reading right now. I'm sorry, but you'll have to do with my half tired writing.
Edit: Forgot the fact that his sword has to be on the opposite side of his working hand. Let's just ignore that and say it magically works somehow.
Edit2: So I gave him a third Pokemon. I hope this a change that is allowed before the deadline for giving in aps and intro comics.. Kabutops was one of the Pokemons I considered from the beginning but for some reason I can't remember scrapped. Also the app is more boring now with the pictures I made some time ago, hoooorraaay
Name: Reynard Everitte
Nickname: Rey
Age: Eighteen
History: Rey was born into a rather rich family, one with strong bonds and successful people. Especially his father was a proud and strong knight that expected the same for his boy children. Which meant Rey. He is the only boy out of four, so naturally his father would try teach him how to work with a sword from a young age. Only problem was that Rey had always (and still is) more interested in books and the "magic" of being a mage. At first the father was not for the idea, and turned him down every time he asked. Around the age of sixteen his father had gotten a new Pokemon, an Aerodactyl that was meant to guard the castle and just be a strong ally to have. But the creature were touchy, and one especially bad day for the Pokemon, Rey was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Aerodactyl meant to snap warningly at him, but Rey reflexes made him slash back at the Pokemon. But instead of scare the Pokemon away it just attacked him further and ripped the sword out of his hand - and almost took the hand with him. The hand was in such bad condition that it had to be amputated. Because of him being left handed, and now unable to work as good with a sword he convinced his father to let him try studying to Mage. And he accepted. Rey happily did so for a year.. but it turned out to be very unsuccessful, as he didn't have any training besides with a sword and the world of books was completely new, no matter how much he was into the subject he was just not good at it and had to give up. He came back home, and went into a small depression, not really feeling for anything until the leatherworker and the smith of the castle worked together a sword that could be attached to his handicapped arm. It gave him some courage to pick up the sword again, even though it was not his favourite thing.
Personality: Not as positive as he should seen, the situation given. Though he doesn't really let out any of this, and keeps most things to himself. Is rather quite and likes to stay for himself, but mostly because he feels awkward around people. Especially if they notice the missing hand, he doesn't like people asking and even more having to explain. So he tries to not fight with the one handed sword as much as possible. He's friendly and loyal though. He's a lover of beer, and this is where people have to make him open up if they want to. It doesn't even take a lot of drinks to do so - three-four cups of average beer and he's ready to talk calmly about almost anything. Not exactly shy, but just rather avoiding. He's actually rather interested in knowing about other people, but knows that such information often is given by exchange for telling about himself - and he hates that.
Fraser: This Pokemon has been his partner since early childhood and he's like a best friend to Rey, since the Pokemon has been with him all the way through and continues to stay loyal. In a critical and sceptical manner, but always meaning it for the good. Has a good portion of proudness and likes to nurture it.
Bruce: A gift from his father, given as a Combusken. This Pokemon is better at slashing than kicking, and Rey's father figured it would fit with the swords and that they could learn a thing or two from each other. Bruce is rather distrusting though, and believes more in what he does himself than what other tells him to. Just as well as Fraser, this Pokemon has a great amount of proudness, and this often makes the two escalate in a verbal fight. But often they do get quite along.
Seoc: Rey found him when he was a Kabuto by on the beach one night when he was little. (Like the Horseshoe Crab goes on land now and then). He’s pretty much been around since that. Not so long after Rey lost his hand he got very uncomfortable around bigger Pokes, Seoc evolved and Rey no longer recognized Seoc as the little friendly Kabuto - no matter how much he wanted to. So the Kabutops has kind of been hid away in a Pokeball and is rarely out due to Reys uncomfort.
... It's probably already been mentioned somewhere before, but his sword arm makes me think of the Pawniard line. That and I think it's super neat how he fights. :3
Damn! seeing your epic character makes me feel less original than ever! I mean, while our characters have some things in common, you executed everything better! Aside from that, I love your art, keep the good work
Lovely design and history and everything he seems really interesting!!
Aside from that, I love your art, keep the good work
what I'm trying to say is would you like to RP?Which way are you thinking? I'm not familiar with rping with OCT characters, and so far I've only seen tumblr being used.
I was actually thinking through notes on deviantART. It allows for easy access to RP records, and I am far more experienced using it.
